“Our true reality is in our identity and unity with all life”
-Joseph Campbell
Many of you in your own words are speaking of an opening, a transformation in your lives, a shift from self consciousness to God consciousness. You are telling me that you are coming to know in your own experience that you are far more than a separated skin encapsulated ego, that there is something of the divine mystery that we call God in your, your true self, and that you are connected to all life. You are discovering what Thomas Merton called “a hidden wholeness.”
“There is in all visible things an invisible fecundity, a dimmed light, a meek namelessness, a hidden wholeness. This mysterious Unity and Integrity is Wisdom, the Mother of all, Natura naturans. There is in all things an inexhaustible sweetness and purity, a silence that is a fount of action and joy. It rises up in wordless gentleness and flows out to me from the unseen roots of all created being, welcoming me tenderly, saluting me with indescribable humility.”
I think this music presents us with hidden wholeness.
“To speak of mysticism in simple terms means we speak of experiential knowledge of God instead of merely mental or cognitive knowledge of God. And when you experience the divine, you naturally move to a higher (or deeper) level of consciousness. A mystical or unitive moment is not something that can be accessed by the left brain, but by the whole brain – right and left – and the heart and the body and the soul together. It is an intuitive grasp of the whole and by the whole. That is what makes us so convicting and transformative. God is another word for the heart of everything and for everything precisely in its connectedness. When you say you love God, you are saying you love everything.”
-Richard Rohr
With you in moving from self consciousness to God consciousness, from isolation and estrangement, to a sense of belonging, at-one-moment with all. As Quakers say: walk the earth in gladness answering to that of God in everyone.
All that matters is to be at one with God.
Consciousness, compassion, and courage.
We are all sparks of the Divine flame
Blessed Be
Boldly Be
Compassionate Be
